Take your fondue skills to another level

Does it get any better than chocolate fondue?

Want to throw a fondue party and show off your skills? The Melting Pot on the RiverWalk Crossing in Jenks is putting on a class Saturday that surely will put you on the course to fondue greatness.

Participants will learn to make two cheese and two chocolate courses, and each guest also will make and take home chocolate-dipped strawberries.

The class will run 2-4 p.m. Cost is $45 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations: 918-299-8000.

I don't know about you, but the last time I fondued anything, I pulled the lime-green fondue pot out of its box -- one of two received as wedding presents -- put a sheet over the red-and-black shag carpet and opened a jug of Carlo Rossi Paisano. Oh, what a night.
