It's a case of Susan Boyle all over again for "Britain's Got Talent" judge Simon Cowell.
A 17 year old and a 16 year old blew away the judges, in particular Cowell, on the reality singing competition last week.
"Just when you think things couldn't get worse," Cowell is heard telling fellow judge Carmen Electra as the teenagers took the stage.
An obviously non-impressed Cowell and some of the audience members seemed skeptical of the duo's talents based on their appearance and unconvincing answers when asked if they thought they could win.
"Yeah, together," said Charlotte Jaconelli, 16. Jonathan Antoine, a nervous, heavy-set 17 with a mass of long curls, merely shrugged. Cowell said, "Alright, good luck."
Antoine and Jaconelli sang their version of Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion's "The Prayer" and changed everyone's minds in the first few notes.
They ended up receiving a standing ovation from the audience and the judges Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Carmen Electra. Antoine was trembling by the time they finished the piece.
It was déjà vu for Cowell who, back on the 2009 edition of "Britain's Got Talent," judged a book by its cover and was negative about the chances of Susan Boyle, 47, winning the show and having a professional career. That was until she started singing. She has gone on to worldwide fame and success.
This time around, he declared Antoine "unbelievable" and suggested he dump Jaconelli because she might hold him back, but the teenager disagreed.
"We came on here as a duo, and we’re going to stay here as a duo," said Antoine.
