The potshots haven’t ended between country star Miranda Lambert and hip-hopper Chris Brown.

The former took to her Twitter feed after the latter performed twice on the Grammy awards a couple of weekends ago.

“Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl ...,” Lambert originally tweeted.

Brown started firing back at the Oklahoma transplant.

He wrote, “Hate all you want because I got a grammy now! That’s the ultimate f*** off.”

Wednesday, she answered him: “I’m done for now. But not for good:) nite love bugs & remember … Be who you are an stand for what u believe in. NO MATTER WHAT!”

Then she poked: “Oh and one more thing for all who are asking….I have a Grammy too:)”

Things escalated Thursday night when Lambert brought a poster to the stage during a live concert in Amherst, Mass., ABC reported online.

The sign read, “Take notes Chris Brown.”

Lambert went on to say, “Listen, I just need to speak my mind. Where I come from, beating up on a women is never OK. ... So that’s why my daddy taught me early on in life how to use a shotgun.” She then sequed into her hit tune “Gunpowder and Lead,” ABC reported.

By Sunday, Brown had launched another volley of Tweets: ““Using my name to get publicity? I love it! Perform your heart out! ... Go buy @miranda_lambert! So motivational and ‘PERFECT.’ Goodnight to all the people who live life and who aren’t stuck in the past!”

Ah yes, the Chris Brown we all know and errr... well, some self loathing types love.

He will act out again, he just can't help himself. Next time it will be "just Chris being Chris"!

Barrelhouse: A colloquialism describing the low saloons at the turn of the century (19th) that served whiskey straight out of the barrel. It's also a reference to the type of music played in those venues. Ex: Barrelhouse music.

Beat: The time or timing. Ex: The band played with a solid beat. Also used as a term describing a reporters specific area of expertise. Ex: The music beat.
