2012/8/MurderMystery.jpg

The picture accompanying this particular entry was to have accompanied the story in today's Scene section about the Ultimate Murder Mystery's 10th anniversary, until journalistic quantum mechanics -- in other words, problems of space and time -- intervened.

The guy in the blue shirt is James Fields, the owner-operator of the company, and the colorfully attired folk with them are some of the regular performers with the Ultimate Murder Mystery, clad in the costumes for three of its most popular shows.

Down in front is Stephen King and Samantha Woodruff from "The Curse of the Phantom Cowboy. Derick Snow -- he off the orange and green hair -- is dolled up for "Do U Really Want to Hurt Me, Do U Really Want to Kill Me Now?", the '80s-themed show the company will present Friday and Saturday at Molly's Landing in Catoosa. And those people in the back -- Jenny Holder, Freddie Tate, Mark Miller and Patricia Lawwill -- are in the finery of the participants in the "Trailer Trash Karaoke Death Match.

And the little coffin -- the one prop that has appeared in every show since the start -- let's just say it holds its share of secrets.
