A friend asked me today if I had heard of any good deals on turkeys.

She said it seems like most years at least one grocery store has a super deal, but she couldn't find a turkey this year that was less than $1 a pound.

Here are a few of the turkey prices I've found at area grocery stores.

Warehouse Market: .79 cents per pound (limit one with a $50 purchase, price good through Nov. 22)

Wal-Mart: $1.18 per pound for fresh (good through Nov. 26)

Homeland: $1.39 per pound for fresh

Homeland: $1.19 per pound for frozen Butterball

Homeland: .99 cents per pound for frozen Honeysuckle

(prices good through Nov. 27)

If you know of any other turkey deals, please share.
