"Downton Abbey" fans who just can't wait to find out what happens are getting a gift.
Fans will be given a chance to see the final three episodes of this season before the hit series wraps up February 17.
Starting January 29, those who buy a "season pass" through iTunes will be able to download the final three episodes, according to Apple.
According to a BBC.com story, the Apple-owned store is expecting fans who have been avoiding online plot spoilers to take it up on the offer. Season three of the Edwardian soap opera aired in England three months before it debuted in the United States and numerous websites are offering spoilers.
"Downton" was the best-selling TV series on iTunes last year and set a PBS record with nearly 8 million viewers with its season premiere January 6, according to the website. The season three offer is the first of its kind for iTunes which has previously offered previews but not advance episodes.
"We're not punishing our viewers," Paula Kerger, PBS president told members of the Television Critics Association Monday in Los Angeles. She was reportedly referring to the delay between the British debut of the show's third season September 16 and the recent American premiere.
Pitting the Edwardian drama against the entire field of new American series in the fall would not have served the show or its audience, she said, according to the website.
The show begins production on season four next month but no word yet on which actors have sign for the next season.
"Downton Abbey" airs at 8 p.m. Sundays on PBS, channel 11 in Tulsa.

Rita Sherrow grew up with TV. Yes, it was the ever-present “sister” from another techno mother. At first look, it was instant "Like." From then on, the TV had to be on in every room while she studied, elementary school through college. An Air Force brat, she attended school in three states (Oklahoma, Montana and Georgia) and two foreign countries (Germany and Bermuda) and graduated from Broken Arrow High School and the University of Tulsa with a degree in journalism/advertising. She first interned in the advertising world but, when a J-School professor (who also covered politics for the Tulsa World) offered her an internship at the newspaper, she took him up on it. The rest is history. She has served as bridal editor, senior features writer for the women’s section, food editor and is television editor of the Tulsa World. In addition to writing about TV shows and interviewing the stars for “Scene” stories, she also writes a TV column for Weekend and produces the Sunday TV World listings magazine.
