The Claremore Dog Expo is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This week, watch a Drillers game or enjoy the last Summer's Fifth Night concert.

Sunday
Need some fun before the work/school week starts? Head to the Claremore Dog Expo at the Claremore Expo Center, 400 Veterans Parkway. Dog diving, demonstrations, adoptions, vendors and competitions will all be a part of this event, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
General admission is $6, $3 for kids younger than 6. Participants who want to compete in the DockDogs canine aquatic competitions can register on site starting at 9 a.m. Registration is $30. Agility demonstrations will be held at 9:30 a.m., then the agility course will be open for attendees to use with their dogs for a $5 fee. Youth contests will also be held for free.

Monday
Go watch the Drillers final home game of the regular season at 7:05
p.m. Monday against Northwest Arkansas at ONEOK Field. Tickets range from $5 to $15 and are available at tulsaworld.com/drillers.

Tuesday
Looking for someone to watch the kids? Oral Robert University is hosting a Nanny Fair in the East Banquet Room of the South Lobby in the Mabee Center from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The event aims to connect ORU students and alumni with local families who have nanny or baby-sitting needs to better help them choose someone who fits their needs. About 50-60 students and alumni will be on hand to talk about their services, and the event's "speed-networking" format will help parents get to know as many as possible within the time frame.
For more information, contact the ORU Career Services office at 918-495-6912 or careers@oru.edu.

Wednesday
If you're a fan of Pat Conroy's work, consider attending the library's Novel Talk program, "Southern Discomfort: Loving and Loathing the South." The program is set for 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Central Library's Aaronson Auditorium.
This event will feature a panel who will discuss Conroy's novel "The Prince of Tides." This program will kick off the season-long "Tulsa Reads Pat Conroy" series. Conroy will visit Tulsa in September.

Thursday
The 21st-annual Summer’s Fifth Night concert series wraps up at Utica
Square this week.
The free summer concert series was scheduled every Thursday night
through the summer, featuring a variety of music.
For the series’ finale, Grady Nichols will perform. The concert
begins at 7 p.m.

Definitely, Drillers on Monday! Have tickets for Sept. 6 post-season, and can't wait. You can't beat the three B's, beers, brats, and baseball - the crack of a wooden bat. No matter that work is the next morning.
