66th Annual Cavalcade The 66th annual International Roundup Clubs Cavalcade is set for Monday through July 22 at the Osage County Fairgrounds, 628 Kihekah Ave. in Pawhuska.
The Cavalcade is a Western sports show for amateur roping and riding clubs from across the country. It features numerous events, including bareback bronc riding, bull riding, wild horse races, team roping, wild cow milking, calf roping and barrel races. Rodeo performances are scheduled throughout the week. Guests can dance during musical performances scheduled in the evenings. Free Starlight concertTuesday’s Starlight Concert band performance is “Night at the Movies.”
Concerts are held at 8 p.m. Tuesdays through the summer in River West Festival Park amphitheater, 2100 S. Jackson Ave., on the west bank of the Arkansas River.
Attendees are encouraged to bring picnic dinners and chairs or blankets. Concessions will be available.
WednesdayDrums of SummerFor a day of marching band performance, head to Memorial Stadium in Broken Arrow for the 2012 Drums of Summer event.
The Drum Corps International Tour returns to Broken Arrow at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Gates open at 6 p.m.
