The week ahead: Powwow, Musical Mondays and '100 Years of Broadway'

The Powwow of Champions will feature American Indian arts and crafts.

Some events from the upcoming week:

Sunday
Catch the last day of the Intertribal Indian Club of Tulsa’s 35th annual Powwow of Champions at the Mabee Center, 7777 S. Lewis Ave.
The powwow will feature American Indian dancing, traditional food and arts and crafts such as jewelry, artwork, pottery, clothing and more.
Doors open at 11 a.m.

Monday

Life Senior Services’ 11th annual concert series, Musical Mondays, designed especially for Tulsa-area seniors, ends this week. The final concert is set for Monday. At 7 p.m., the Sounds of Music Orchestra will perform at the Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center, 2520 S. Yorktown Ave.

Tuesday
“100 Years of Broadway” opens Tuesday at the Tulsa PAC’s Chapman Music Hall.
The show features leading Broadway performers singing tunes that span the history of Broadway theater. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Aug. 25, and 2 and 7 p.m. Aug. 26. Tickets are $15-$55, available at 918-596-7111 or tulsaworld.com/mytix.

Wednesday
Got a lull mid-week? Check out the Just Between Friends consignment sale, which runs through Aug. 25 at the Expo Square Exchange Center, 4145 E. 21st St. Children’s and maternity clothes, toys, books and more will be at the sale.
Hours are 1 to 7 p.m. today, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Thursday
The 21st-annual Summer’s Fifth Night concert series continues at Utica Square on Thursday.
The concert series is free, and concerts are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. every Thursday through Aug. 30.
This week’s concert will feature Groove Pilots for a night of rock music.
