It's one of the more bizarre ads in the 11 July 2008 issue of Entertainment Weekly: Page 58, right across from the magazine's review of the HBO show "Generation Kill" (which EW likes, by the way), a full page in red with the slogan "Real Blood is for Suckers." It is advertising bottles of "Tru-Blood -- Synthetic Blodd Nourishment Beverage," along with the warning that "HBO Reminds Vampires to Drink Responsibly."
Bizarre, that is, unless one is familiar with the novels of Charlaine Harris, and her Southern Vampire series. Harris was in Tulsa a couple of months ago to launch her most recent addition to the series, "From Dead to Worse," and she spoke about the HBO TV series that was being made from her novels.

It would appear that the show is definitely on its way.
