Shoppers, animal lovers and art appreciators will all find something to suit their taste this week.
Art on Main
Jenks’ annual Art on Main event will be held on Main Street in Jenks from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
The festival will showcase 100 Oklahoma-based artists and wineries. Local musicians Barling, Gary Robert Strickland and Willyecho will perform.
Other festival activities include live art demonstrations and a children’s section offer face-painting, crafts and inflatable games.
This year the festival also has a special section to display the artwork of Oral Roberts University students.
Consignment sale
It’s time for some more Just Between Friends consignment sale shopping. This event will be at the SpiritBank Event Center, 10441 S. Regal Blvd., today through Saturday.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, which is also the half-off sale day.
Children’s and maternity clothes, toys, games, DVDs and more will be on sale at the event.
Admission is $3, or free with the donation of a package of diapers. The diapers will go to the Hope Pregnancy Center, a nonprofit organization that exists to provide help to those experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.
Imagination Movers
The Imagination Movers — a band that formed in New Orleans almost 10 years ago and now has a national touring act and a children’s television show that airs on the Disney Junior channel — will be in Tulsa for a live show at 5 p.m. Saturday in the Mabee Center, 7777 S. Lewis Ave.
The group says it combines the best elements of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood and rock ‘n’ roll music.

United Film Festival
The 10th annual United Film Festival will be at Circle Cinema, 10 S. Lewis Ave., today through Sunday.
The event, which began in Tulsa in 2002 and has since spread to Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and London, features numerous indie films and highlights local innovative filmmakers.
Among this year’s highlight are “Sadermania,” which tells the inspirational tale of friendship between Hulk Hogan and his biggest fan; “Act Naturally,” about two estranged sisters who come together after inheriting a nudist resort; and “GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling,” the story of the first all-female wrestling show.
Screenings begin at 7 p.m. today and Friday and at noon Saturday and Sunday. Individual tickets start at $8. An all-access pass is $51.75. To buy tickets and for more information, including a full list of films, visit

Dogtober Fest
Dogtober Fest will be at Village Vet Animal Clinic, 2026 W. Houston St. in Broken Arrow, from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The event is a free family-friendly community fair for pets and pet lovers. Animal demonstrations, contests, games, food and adoption opportunities will be part of the event.
Dogtober Fest will benefit animal rescue organizations.

Tulsa To Do
