Oxley Nature Center has a butterfly walk scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

A variety of events, both indoors and outdoors, are on the calendar this weekend.

Summer’s Fifth Night
The 21st-annual Summer’s Fifth Night concert series continues at Utica Square today. The concert series is free, and concerts are scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. every Thursday through Aug. 30. This week’s concert will feature Beacon Drive for a night of rock ‘n’ roll.

Enjoy the outdoors
Several nature-y activities are scheduled this weekend. And with cooler temperatures in the forecast, why not take advantage of the opportunities?

On Saturday, enjoy Family Day at the Oklahoma Centennial Botanical Garden, about 1½ miles west of the intersection of N. 52nd W. Avenue and W. 43rd Street N. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., families will learn about leaves and “explore nature’s food factories.” Attendees will also make a leaf print to take home.

Or head to the Oxley Nature Center in Mohawk Park at 10:30 a.m. Saturday for a butterfly walk.

Then, at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, singles can join other singles for some mountain biking at Turkey Mountain. The event is hosted by Take Heart Tulsa, a new dating service that provides events and excursions specifically for single professionals. Cost is $5, and participants must sign up by Friday. Visit tulsaworld.com/takehearttulsa to sign up.

Powwow of Champions
Intertribal Indian Club of Tulsa’s 35th annual Powwow of Champions will be at the Mabee Center, 7777 S. Lewis Ave., Friday through Sunday.
The powwow will feature Native American dancing, traditional food, and arts and crafts such as jewelry, artwork, pottery, clothing and more. Organizers expect 6,000-10,000 attendees throughout the weekend.
Doors open at 5 p.m. Friday, and 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call 918-378-4494.
