Library activities
Tulsa’s libraries are offering a variety of events for kids and teens on Saturday.
From 12:30 to 2 p.m., manga/anime fans can join like-minded teens meeting at Broken Arrow Library.
Kids 5 to 12 can have fun with Legos at Zarrow Regional Library from 2 to 3 p.m.
And everyone 8 and older is welcome to drop in at Central Library from 1 to 3 p.m. for some chess lessons from a 20-year veteran of the game.

Bridal Show

Brides-to-be who missed the recent wedding shows or want to see more can head to the Mabee Center, 7777 S. Lewis Ave., from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 20, for the Weddings of Tulsa Bridal Show.
Wedding experts, vendors and giveaways will be part of the event.

Gospel Sunday Brunch

Drop in at Cain’s Ballroom, 423 N. Main St., between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, to enjoy live music from Charlie Redd & The Full Flava Kings and The Round Up Boys, as well as an all-you-can-eat brunch from Oklahoma Joe’s Bar-B-Cue. A cash bar will also be available.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $10 for ages 11-16 and free for children 10 and younger.

MLK events
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday, with the downtown parade scheduled for 11 a.m. that day. But several other events are set to commemorate the life of the civil rights leader this weekend.
At 2 p.m. Saturday, “Two Cousins Walking Through Faith” — a play that tells the story of living through the 1960s civil rights movement — will be performed at the Booker T. Washington Historical Site, 1631 E. Woodrow Place. Admission is $5 plus a canned food item. Children younger than 5 are admitted for free.
Then at 5:15 p.m. Sunday, a procession will gather for the Walk in Peace at Seventh Street and Cincinnati Avenue. The group will begin marching at 5:30 p.m. and head to 13th Street and Boston Avenue, where an interfaith commemorative service will be held at 6 p.m. at Boston Avenue Methodist Church. The Rev. John Nunes, president of Lutheran World Relief, will be the guest speaker and the oratorical contest winner will recite the “I Have a Dream” speech.
