ArtNortheastern State University-Broken Arrow, 3100 E. New Orleans St., is hosting an opening reception for “Art in April,” an art show and sale presented by the Green Country Watercolor Society. The reception is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today in the Administrative Services Building. The art will be on display through April 27.
Gilcrease Museum, 1400 N. Gilcrease Museum Road,, is hosting a lunch-hour lecture from noon to 1 p.m. Friday. So bring a sack lunch and head to the museum for the “From My Point of View” lecture. Dr. Diana du Pont, a specialist in modern and contemporary art, will discuss Thomas Gilcrease’s fascination with Mexican works and how he brought them to Oklahoma. The lecture will be held in Gallery 18, and it’s free with paid museum admission.
And the Brady Arts District is hosting its First Friday Art Crawl starting at 6 p.m. Friday. Galleries throughout the district will open their doors to visitors for this monthly event.
