Happy Thanksgiving! Here are some options to help you keep the family entertained this weekend.
BMX Grand NationalsThe USA BMX national bicycle motocross series concludes with this weekend’s Grand Nationals at the QuikTrip Center at Expo Square.
Practice and sign-ups begin Thursday. Events begin Friday with the Race of Champions/Presidents Cup competition at 7:30 a.m. On Saturday, the first round of qualifying races for the Grands begins at 9 a.m. and the Pro Spectacular & NAG-5 Challenge begins at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. Title races begin at noon Sunday.
Admission: Free except for Pro Spectacular, which is $10.

Winterfest Winterfest, presented by Arvest Bank and the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation, returns for the fifth year. Attractions include a 9,000-square-foot outdoor skating rink, carriage rides, visits from “Segway Santa” and a warming tent set up outside the ice rink.
A 44-foot Christmas tree — which organizers say is the tallest in Oklahoma — will feature more than 35,000 lights.

Turkey TrotFleet Feet’s Turkey Trot is the official kickoff to Winterfest. The event includes a 5k and a fun run, and participants will get free ice skating passes good for the day of the race. Turkey Trot benefits the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless.
Race-day registration starts at 7:30 a.m., 5k at 8:30 a.m., fun run at 9:30 a.m. Registration is $17.50-$27.50 for adults, free-$17.50 for kids 12 and younger.

Black Friday shoppingThe blockbuster deals of Black Friday begin on Thanksgiving at some stores. Walmart, Kmart, Sears, Stage and Toys “R” Us start their Black Friday deals at 8 p.m. Thursday. Target follows with a 9 p.m. opening and Best Buy, Macy’s and others will start sales at midnight.
Tulsa Promenade and Woodland Hills Mall will open at midnight, as well as many of the national chains inside.
Stores opening Friday include Bass Pro Shops, Drysdales, Bed Bath & Beyond and Dillard’s.

Holiday lightsThe holiday lights season is in full swing.
See the lights at Rhema Bible Church, 1025 W. Kenosha in Broken Arrow, where more than 2 million lights will shine every night through the New Year.
Or go to Glow on the Green at the Guthrie Green, 111 E. Brady St., from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Live entertainment and the lighting of the park will be part of the free event.
Holiday Lights on the Hill at Chandler Park, 6500 W. 21st St., begins Friday. Drive through three miles of bright lights and whimsical displays.
Dancing at the depotBurn off that heavy Thanksgiving meal at the holiday installment of Dancing at the Depot, put on by Pam Van Dyke Crosby, Rebecca Ungerman and Cindy Cain of Sweet & Hot Productions. The “Turkey Trot Swing Dance” will give you the opportunity to swing, cha-cha, tango, salsa and more.
The event is at the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame, 111 E. First St., at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $10, available by phone at 918-281-8609.
