Ticket prices announced for Jane's Addiction show

Iconic alternative rocker Jane’s Addiction will perform March 15 at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa.

Tickets prices have been corrected by the venue. The original price was a misprint, organizers said. Tickets start at $55 and go on sale Jan. 26, and will be available at the venue box office, tulsaworld.com/hardrockcasino or by calling 918-384-7625, venue officials said.

Guests must be age 21 or older to enter. Black Box Revelation will open.

Popular songs from the band include “Been Caught Stealing,” “Jane Says,” “Ocean Size,” “Stop!,” “Summertime Rolls” and more. The group’s latest studio album, “The Great Escape Artist,” was released in October.

The influential and often controversial band was ranked 35th on VH1’s “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock” list. The band has sold more than 7 million albums in the United States alone.

Farrell also went on to found the long-running Lollapalooza music festival, as well as help alt-rock groups Porno For Pyros and Satellite Party.

The band formed in 1985 in Los Angeles, and these days includes members Farrell, Dave Navarro, Stephen Perkins and Chris Chaney.

Barrelhouse Beat

Barrelhouse: A colloquialism describing the low saloons at the turn of the century (19th) that served whiskey straight out of the barrel. It's also a reference to the type of music played in those venues. Ex: Barrelhouse music.

Beat: The time or timing. Ex: The band played with a solid beat. Also used as a term describing a reporters specific area of expertise. Ex: The music beat.
