Three country musicians received their
Country Music Association Awards early this morning, announced live on "Good Morning America" from Times Square.
Oklahoma native
Toby Keith, who said openly he'd rather have a root canal than attend the awards show, doesn't have to worry any more. He's a winner. His video for "
Red Solo Cup," with director
Michael Salomon, has won the Video of the Year award. It is his first CMA Award in seven years.
Also,
Kenny Chesney and
Tim McGraw won CMA Musical Event of the Year for their performance of “
Feel Like A Rock Star.”
The awards show broadcasts live tonight at 7 p.m. on the ABC network, live from Nashville. Check with tulsaworld.com for post-event coverage.
