In Oklahoma, we're passionate about our tomatoes. We brag about how big we can grow them, share them with neighbors and wait for the first homegrown tomato of the season.
Well, they're here. At the Brookside Farmers Market on Wednesday, farmers will have the first of the season's tomatoes, including red and yellow, sun gold and black cherry.
Also at the market, you'll find beets, carrots, chard, sweet corn, garlic, herbs, onions, potatoes, summer squash, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, green beans, greens, lettuce, potatoes, spinach, turnips and blueberries.
The market is also a good place to pick up chorizo hotdogs, brats, local pork, cut flowers, prepared foods and kombucha tea.

8 a.m. to noon Wednesdays
