Tons of dirt and hundreds of pictures

The Dirt Crew got started early on Thursday morning. Dump trucks started lining up outside the BOK Center and the transformation from hockey ice to arenacross track was underway. I don't do timelapse work all that often, but this seemed like a good chance to try it.
I used one camera on the third floor of the BOK center, set to take a picture every 45 seconds for about 9 hours. In the meantime I used another camera for much shorter timelapses from different angles around the track.
Here's a quick video that features about 1,600 still images, sound of heavy equipment working inside the arena and Bill Heras, the event manager, talking about the process of making the track.

very interesting video, Clanton. And the two images were great, the first image is my favorite.
