Resort manager Melanie Pierini said everyone at Candlewyck Cove Resort in Grove is excited about being recognized as one Trip Advisor's top 25 hotels in the United States.

Yesterday, Candlewyck Cove learned it was ranked No. 16 on Trip Advisor's Travelers' Choice 2013 list, in company with such hotels as the Four Seasons Resort Lana'i in Hawaii (No. 6) and the Waldorf Astoria in Chicago (No. 13).

"We’re totally excited not just for our resort but for our community," said Pierini, adding that there's something relaxing about the resort's location overlooking Grand Lake.

The resort has become home to people from all over the United States for their family vacations, family reunions, weddings, romantic getaways and business travels, reads a statement from the resort.

Candlewyck Cove owners Jeff Pelcher and Gara Pelcher said in the statement that the mission of the resort staff has been to treat all of its guests as family, "and to ensure that their stays have provided them the greatest opportunity to create lasting memories."

The mission has become a reality said Gara Pelcher: “We have numerous guests that started with us in the early years and have been coming back every year."
