Tulsa Ballet's Washington D.C. debut is tonight, as part of the Kennedy Center's "Ballet Across America" festival.

The Washington Post's dance critic, Sarah Kaufman (who earlier this year won the Pulitzer Prize in criticism for her work), and NY Times chief dance critic Alastair Macauley, have written about the first two evenings, which featured the Suzanne Farrell Ballet, North Carolina Ballet and Houston Ballet.

Their reviews are here:

Read the story: Washington Post
Read the story: New York Times

I will personally be very interested in what Macauley will write -- if anything -- about Tulsa Ballet's performance of "Por Vos Muero," which the company will present Friday and Sunday.

Tulsa Ballet performed this Nacho Duato Ballet as part of its New York City program at the Joyce Theatre last August, and the reviewer the Times sent was unimpressed with a performance that audiences and other critics seemed to find captivating.
