Tulsa Historical Society offering free admission

Travis Mansion houses the Tulsa Historical Society.

The Tulsa Historical Society, 2445 S. Peoria, is offering free admission Tuesday through Saturday this week.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, with extended hours till 8 p.m. on Thursdays.

The museum has eight galleries that feature exhibits related to local history. Among those currently on display are "A Glimpse Inside: Interior Views of Tulsa Stores," "Life of a House: A History of the Travis Mansion," "Fishing the Arkansas River: A Photographic Look by Joshua Blevins Peck," and "Becoming Tulsa: Cultivating City Life from a Prairie Town."

You can also pick up a scavenger hunt sheet at the front desk to complete with your family as you enjoy the exhibits.
