Tulsan to write new DC title

Tulsa native Sterling Gates will be writing DC Comics' new "Justice League of America's Vibe" title beginning with issue No. 4 in May, according to solicitations reported by MTV Geek and the Oklahoman.
Gates, a graduate of the University of Oklahoma, has worked on several DC titles since 2007. The first issue of "Vibe" will be released Feb. 20 with Andrew Kreisberg writing the first three issues before Gates takes over.
Gates' past work include the first five issues the most recent "Hawk and Dove" series with Rob Liefeld, "Superman: War of the Supermen," and a 15-issue run on "Supergirl."
