Tulsans have the worst teeth

So sayeth a press release I JUST opened via email.

Tulsa ranks No. 4 on the 10 Worst-Teeth Cities in the Country list, according to rankings by TotalBeauty.com.

Factors considered in these rankings when it came to having decent pearly whites include regular dentist visits; not smoking; minimizing coffee, tea, soda and red wine intake; and, tops on a dentist's list, brushing and flossing. Living in an area with hard water or a dry climate, which can stain teeth and create dry mouth, could also contribute to bad teeth.

Here is TotalBeauty.com's list of The 10 Worst-Teeth Cities in the country:

10. Las Vegas, Nevada

9. Atlanta, Georgia

8. Houston, Texas

7. Greensboro, North Carolina

6. Bristol, Tennessee

5. Baton Rouge, Louisiana

4. Tulsa, Oklahoma

3. Mobile, Alabama

2. Huntington, West Virginia

1. Biloxi, Mississippi

Just food for thought, y'all.

Peace, love and brush your teeth ... xoxo

Ok, so I missed this blog, but I have to comment about this list omitting any city in Arkansas?

Can't be accurate. LOL!

Well,...I guess now the left-wingers will be clammering for socialized free dentistry also......

....go figure. Some people want the taxpayers to take care of them from cradle to grave.

I thought Kentucky would be on the list. Yikes people can still brush and floss everyday and you won't need a dentist very often. It sounds like parents aren't doing their job.

I know kids that brush and floss as suggested and they still struggle with their teeth. I had kids who never had a cavity and some who did. Each person is different. Also some over the counter drugs (liquid pain reliever, etc.) make an impact of their teeth.

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
