Hopefully you happened to see my interview earlier this week on the Baroness of Boobs, Judi Grove, the chairwoman of Turn Tulsa Pink, who is doing just that during October to honor and support those who've battled breast cancer.

There are so many fabulous events for Turn Tulsa Pink week, we sadly don't always have space for all of them in print. So I thought I'd share a few other fun ways you can Turn Tulsa Pinkvia the magic of my blog:

Dixie Cream Donut Co. will offer a 10 percent discount all week to customers who sport pink. (918) 528-3335.

Got guests coming? Springhill Suites, Residence Inn and Fairfield Inn near Woodland Hills are offering a 15 percent discount during the week to survivors and their families, or any other guests who identifies with the impact of cancer.

You can go wild and wear pink at next weekend, (Oct. 22 & 23) at the The Tulsa Zoo will offer a 50 percent admission discount to public wearing pink. (918) 669-6600

Channel your inner roller derby goddess and visit Broken Arrow Roller Sportsis offering free admission and skate rental to all patrons who come decked out in pink, throughout the week. (918) 633-4483

Thanks Jason for sharing a few of the FABULOUS things going on during Turn Tulsa Pink. We appreciate your support and that of the many restaurants throughout the county, hotels, service providers and even the skating rink in BA! I am SO grateful to Tulsa County for Caring Enough to Wear Pink and honor all women and children with Cancer!

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
