Six time Blues Music Awards nominee
EG Kight, who has a decades-long history of performing in and around Tulsa, returns for two shows this weekend.
Kight will perform a solo acoustic blues show 8-10 p.m. on Friday at

Saturday, she performs with her band at the
Dusk Til Dawn Blues Festival in Rentiesville. She performs 7:30 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Saturday. Admission is $10 per day for the three-day fest, or $15 per day at the gate, which runs 5 p.m.-5 a.m. Friday-Sunday. For location and more information, visit

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Kight brought her country music to a wide array of area clubs - Melody’s, Angelo’s, Profiles, Barrister's, the Sunset Grill, the Brady Theater, Full Moon, both Joey's locations, 71st Street Depot, the Marriott, the Hilton, Lennie’s, Harvard Tower Club, False Alarm, several Charlie Mitchell's locations, Louie's in The Farm shopping center and more.
Her latest release, "It's Hot in Here," went to No. 1 on the Roots Blues Charts and on Sirius XM Satellite Radio’s Bluesville channel, and it brought nominations for both the BluesWax Artist and Album of the Year. BluesWax is the largest subscribed blues publication in the world.
Kight has shared the stage with many blues notables through the years, including Luther Allison, Little Feat, Pinetop Perkins, Robert Cray, Delbert McClinton, Koko Taylor, Taj Mahal, Garrison Keillor, Hubert Sumlin and Gregg Allman.
Also, several of her songs have landed on Grammy nominated albums, and a dozen or more of her songs have been recorded by other artists. She has taught songwriter workshops in Germany and Italy, and her song “Through The Eyes of a Child” won the People’s Choice Award in the International Peace Song Challenge.
