Local musicians explain the Dfest music conference and festival in downtown Tulsa. This year's event is July 24-25 in the Blue Dome District.

Discount "Early Bird" passes will go on sale soon.

Here's how it works: On March 3, Dfest will send out an e-mail to the Dfest eNews subscribers list with a special pass code to get Early Bird discount prices on tickets. Fans of Dfest can use their passcode to buy the discounted tickets, which go on sale at noon March 7.

Fans can subscribe to Dfest eNews at tulsaworld.com/Dfest09. "Fans" prices are:

1-Day: $17 plus $3 fee

2-Day: $32 plus $3 fee

Conference Badges (w/music festival access): $60 plus $5 fee

VIP Package with 2-day access: $136 plus $9 fee

VIP Package with Conference and 2-day access: $166 plus $9 fee.
