Oklahoma native and country music star
Vince Gill raised country music’s banner high at the
Revlon Concert for the Rainforest Fund earlier this week at
Carnegie Hall in
New York City.
He performed on stage with Bruno Mars, Rita Wilson and Jennifer Hudson.
During the concert “Songs of the Silver Screen,” Gill performed versions of
Don Gibson’s “
I Can’t Stop Loving You” and
Roy Orbison’s “
Oh, Pretty Woman” and joined singer-actress
Rita Wilson for a duet journey through the
Everly Brothers’
“All I Have to Do Is Dream.”
Gill also performs “Faithless Love” on Wilson's new album, "AM/FM," set for release May 8.
The concert featured Sting, Elton John, James Taylor, Meryl Streep, Rosanne Cash, Bruno Mars, Jennifer Hudson, Esperanza Spalding and Bryn Terfel, his publicist said. Former president Bill Clinton appeared as a special guest.
