Vine Street Imports rep to host Italian wine dinner

Ryan Davis, Midwest sales manager for Vine Street Imports, will be hosting an Italian wine dinner at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Biga, 4329 S. Peoria Ave.

Davis has an extensive background in food and wine. A graduate of Rutgers University, Davis also has a degree from the Culinary Institute of America and is a certified sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers. La Chaines des Rotisseurs named Davis the Midatlantic Region Best Young Sommelier in 2010.

Davis also worked in vineyards in New York, Oregon, California and Corbieres, France. Today he specializes in importing wines from small family wineries in Italy.

The dinner will include fried mozzarella stuffed with prosciutto and pesto, spicy Italian sausage with fettuccine, chicken peperonata with baked ricotta, and Italian cream cake. Davis will pair an Italian wine with each course.

Cost is $40 per person, plus tax and gratuity. Reservations: 918-743-2442.
