Pundits may say that the undecided voters will decide the upcoming election, but those who have already picked a presidential candidate can go ahead and claim their cookie.

The national presidential cookie poll is underway and you can cast your vote at Merritt’s bakeries.

Retail Bakers of America is once again collecting votes cast at participating bakeries across the country to see if they coincide with the outcome of the presidential election.

This is the third election for which RBA members and Merritt’s Bakery have held cookie poll.

The first was in 2004, when RBA accurately predicted the next president would be George W. Bush.

In 2008, Obama was correctly predicted with a 59% to 41% lead. Over 74,000 cookies were sold nationwide.

All three of the Merritt’s Bakery locations will be serving iced & decorated candidate cookies until Nov 7th. They are also selling a selection of patriotic colored thumbprints for those who are undecided.

And, unlike the true election, you can cast your vote as many times as you want in this poll.

There’s no identification needed for voting and no age limitations on those that can indulge.

Merritt’s Bakery locations are at Midtown, 3202 E. 15th St, 71st and Garnett Road and 101st St and Riverside.

All locations are open 6 a.m to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
