In researching information for a review on the Warren Duck Club at Doubletree Hotel by Hilton at Warren Place a few weeks ago, dining room captain Hamid Baghestani told me the restaurant with a glittery past still draws some glittery guests. Literally.

"We recently had Steven Tyler in for dinner," Baghestani said. "I guess you would say he was dressed kind of flashy. He was here to attend a funeral in another town close to here.

"We also had Michael J. Fox; he had dinner here with a priest one Sunday night. We also had Hank Williams Jr., and he was fun."

Baghestani said he wasn't sure what everyone had for dinner, except for Tyler. He had the blackened filet, a Duck Club signature dish for almost three decades.
