In this video, we see Brian P (a real nerd) lament how his status in life has been degraded and disrespected by pretty people who put on glasses and call themselves nerds.



I’ve spent the last 12 hours questioning my nerd cred after watching this because I had no clue what “eventing” is. I’ve heard and seen LARP-ing (live action role-playing games) but I’ve never heard of the concept of eventing.

Obviously, the folks at “Portlandia” are making a statement about the nerd-branding going on in our society, but they’ve done a great job at mocking themselves as well.
