We found former Steve's Sundry cook Katherine McIntosh: She's working at Lola's

Katherine McIntosh ran the soda fountain for six years at Steve's Sundry Books & Magazines. For a couple of years after she left Steve's in 2008, I received numerous inquiries from people wanting to know if she might be working at another cooking job.

We found her last week. McIntosh is cooking during the lunch hour at the new Lola's Gypsy Caravan, located in an Airstream trailer at 1347 E. 11th St.

"I've known Kathy for many years," said Lola's owner, Lola Palazzo. "We met when I opened my first restaurant, Johnston Trolley, in Bartlesville in the early '80s."

McIntosh said she enjoyed visiting with the many customers she had at Steve's, but in 2008 "it was just time for me to go," she said.

McIntosh said she had not worked at another restaurant job until she got the call from Palazzo.

"This is something different, and fun," she said.

McIntosh also operates her own catering business. She can be reached at 918-914-9030.
