MondayHere's a cool way to spend an otherwise boring Monday night. Head over to Circle Cinema for a free viewing of Times Talks: A Conversation with Samuel L. Jackson. The live interview, with New York Times columnist David Carr will be simulcast across the country, including at the Circle Cinema. Jackson will talk about his Broadway debut in "The Mountaintop," where he stars in the role of Martin Luther King Jr.

TuesdayHere's a chance to see local politics in action. Watch City Council candidates in Districts 2, 7 and 8 debate the issues in a panel discussion-style debate. It's a small venue, which makes for fun if any sparks decide to fly.

WednesdayIt's a nice diversion from a midday work day, and it's free. Watch Appassionata, the harp-viola duo from the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra, play during Brown Bag It at the PAC.

Cost: Free. Audience members are encouraged to bring their lunches.
ThursdayHGTV fans won't want to miss the appearance by Robert and Cortney Novogratz of the HGTV show "Home by Novogratz." The couple is in town filming a design project for an upcoming episode but will stop at Edit on Brookside for a book signing and meet and greet. "Home by Novogratz" is the No. 1-rated design show on HGTV this fall season.

FridayIt's opening night for the latest production from Tulsa Ballet. "Nine Sinatra Songs" is perfect for a date night, with Sinatra’s crooning and beautiful choreography by the legendary Twyla Tharp.

SaturdayBooHaHa is a Tulsa Halloween tradition. It's fun for kids, but you don't have to be toting any little ones to join in the fun. Bring your pets for the pet costume contest, and bring the kids for tricks and treats from Brookside merchants. If you like people watching, you're in for a treat.
