Tuesday: Mardi Gras paradeSo, it's not quite New Orleans, but the Mardi Gras parade in the Blue Dome district does have the particulars necessary for revelry, including beads and floats. Check out the parade, and then stick around for dinner or drinks at one of the restaurants in the Blue Dome.
When: 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Where: Parade starts at Frist Street between Elgin and Detroit avenues and ends at Second Street between Detroit and Frankfort avenues
Wednesday: Bedlam basketballThe Oklahoma State-Oklahoma game is in Norman, so that means big-time fans will be making the drive to see it live. But you can watch the action at 7 p.m. on KTUL, channel 8. It's always more fun to cheer with a crowd, so head to your favorite sports bar where the game will be on the big screen.
Friday: The Face of Emmett TillTheatre North takes on the true story of Emmett Till, a 14-year-old boy who was tortured and killed in a lynching in Mississippi in 1955. History and drama combine in this production, which runs for four days. The production is for mature audiences only.

Saturday: Holland Hall Book FairIt's a big day for book lovers. People who still love the touch and feel of bound books line up to storm the doors of Holland Hall for its annual book fair. You don't have to get in line, though. Hundreds of used books, magazines, DVDs, puzzles and games will be ready for great prices.
When: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday
