Bikers, classic car enthusiasts and Oklahoma travelers will be happy to learn that a fully remodeled Lucille’s has opened again in Mulhall two years after a kitchen fire forced it to close.
The restaurant has seating for 170 inside and another 170 outside. It is known for its chicken-fried steak, burgers, pies and cold beer.
Brothers Chris and Don Harman, Mulhall natives, took over Lucille’s and directed the remodeling project.
The restaurant was named for Lucille Mulhall, dubbed "the first cowgirl" by Will Rogers. Lucille performed in her father's traveling Wild West show.
"Mulhall's popultion is around 304 people, and you can see the impact that Lucille's has on this town," Don Harman said in a news release. "The support and interest has been overewhelming."
To get there, take Oklahoma 51 west to two miles past I-35, then go four miles south on U.S. 77.
