What's your favorite Harry Potter movie?

How would you rank the Harry Potter movies, from No. 1 to No. 7 on your list of favorites?
We can revisit this in the next week or two, after we've seen the eighth and final film, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2," which opens Friday.
But for now, how do the movies stack up for you? Who is your favorite character? What's your favorite moment?
My personal favorites, in order:
No. 1: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which had a wonderful rhythm to the story, the balance of dark and light material, the action and the raging hormones at Hogwarts.
No. 2: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
No. 3: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
No. 4: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
No. 5: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
No. 6: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
No. 7: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1

My favorite character? Hagrid. I've always been able to relate to the big man, and I love Robbie Coltrane.
My favorite moment? There are so many, but I admit to feeling a special, sentimental twinge when Dobby gains his freedom at the end of "Chamber of Secrets." The look on Lucius Malfoy's face is priceless, the very picture of comeuppance.

As a bonus, check out this PopSugarTV montage of clips to see how the Harry Potter series of movies has influenced pop culture over the last 10 years. These are very funny Harry-inspired moments from "The Office," "Saturday Night Live" and others paying their respects to J.K. Rowling's creation.

I See Movies for Free

“I was born a poor, black child” … not me, actually, but Steve Martin’s character in the “The Jerk.” That absurd opening line is just one of the absurd number of film facts, quotes and minutiae contained in movie critic Michael Smith’s brain, at his disposal to toss out on a moment’s notice. It’s a key requirement as Tulsa World film critic to know these things. Michael learned a few other life facts along the way (seven years as a Crystal’s Pizza & Spaghetti manager) before attempting journalism and joining the Tulsa World in 1996, where he’s covered everything from a school shooting in Fort Gibson to a tornado in Stroud to witnessing an execution. A little community theater coverage was sprinkled in there, too. Movies engender many of his happiest memories, from standing in line for “Star Wars” and “Grease” at the Southroads Cinema to the James Bond and Pink Panther movies that always premiered at the enormous Continental Theater.

Big winner tonight: producer Harvey Weinstein. "The Artist" wins 5 Oscars, "The Iron Lady" goes 2-for-2, even wins best documentary.
