What's your favorite holiday song?

OK, even though I'm all about Christmas music this time of year, I'm listening to Beyonce's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)" as we speak -- or at least as I'm typing this. Next up: Britney's new CD, which came out today.

But at some point this afternoon, while I'm working on stories for next week, I'll probably put on The Carpenters' "Christmas Portrait" or Sarah McLachlan's "Wintersong" -- my fave from the latter being "Song for a Winter's Night." I'm also a BIG fan of Buck Owens' "Santa Looks A Lot Like Daddy." Heard it?

What are your favorites? Holler at me, tell me what you like. Consider it your holiday gift to me. Yeah, because I'm on your list and all, right?

Peace, love and holiday tunes ... xoxo

John Waters has a great Christmas album. If you love his movies you'll love this CD.

two...

Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). Darlene Love, although the U2 version isn't bad.

Koppangen by Anne Sofie van Otter. Unutterly beautiful and touching.

Hard Candy Christmas as seen performed by the delightful Dolly Parton and a boat-load of hookers on The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

I love Elvis' version of "White Christmas". Nobody does it like Elvis!

I have two... O Come, O Come Emmanuel sung by Jennifer Paige on a special for the troops a few Christmases past. My all time favorite carol (actually one of my top ten songs period) is O Holy Night. There are scads of great arrangements of this song, but I think the a capella version by Kelly Clarkson floating around out there is pretty stupendous.

Living Wright

While other kids were watching "The Smurfs," Scene Writer Jason Ashley Wright was tuned in to "Style with Elsa Klensch." By fourth grade, he knew he wanted to write, and spent almost three years publishing a weekly teen-oriented magazine, Teen-Zine -- circulation: 2. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi, he became the medical reporter and teen board coordinator for the Hattiesburg (Miss.) American, a Gannett newspaper. Eight months later, with visions of Elsa dancing in his head, he applied for the fashion writer position at the Tulsa World, where he began working on Aug. 3, 1998. He is now a general assignment reporter for Scene.
