A crowd gathered outside of New Hope Baptist Church Tuesday in Newark, N.J. where funeral services for the late singer Whitney Houston will be held on Saturday.

Whitney Houston's funeral Saturday will be invitation-only but the family will allow the service to be streamed live online, Houston's publicist Kristen Foster told The Associated press Wednesday.
The family has decided to allow AP to operate one "pool" camera inside the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J., the iconic singer's home church. Footage from that camera will be distributed to news organizations preparing stories about the final service for Houston who died Saturday at age 48. AP will stream the service online at livestream.com/aplive.
The family previously announced the funeral will be invitation-only. The church seats up to 1,500 according to NBC's "Today" show. Gospel singer Marvin Winans, a Grammy Award winner and longtime Houston family friend, has reportedly been asked to give the eulogy.
Some fans have expressed disappointment that there would be no public mememorial service.
"They have shared her for 30 some years with the city, with the state, with the world. This is their time now for their farewell to their daughter, mother,” funeral director Carolyn Whigham of Whigham Funeral Home told NBC.
