Oklahoma City filmmaker Kyle Roberts has put together another video that nerds will love – a stop-motion animation of the intro to the classic 1990s X-Men cartoon.
So far, the video, which you can check out below, has nearly 450,000 views on YouTube. According to the video description, Roberts took more than 400,000 individual pictures during the two-month production process. Nathan Poppe drew more than 60 backgrounds for the video.
Roberts has some other great videos you can check out on his YouTube channel or on the site for his production studio, Reckless Abandonment. My favorite is his “Iron Man vs. Batman,” which comes with three different endings.
Roberts is also in production on “Posthuman,” a feature-length independent superhero film which focuses on the roots of the teenage experience, capturing that careful mix of invulnerability and powerlessness that only youth can conjure.
