I have a list of names of journalists on my Dream Team.
John Clanton is on that list. He's on a lot of people's Dream Team lists. So when he came back to the Tulsa World recently to take the job of multimedia producer, I was pretty pumped.
What I like most about John is that he is driven by stories. That's the only way to explain how he decided to reconnect with the Tulsa community he had been away from for years. That decision is called
Everyday People, and it tells the stories of the people who make up our community through their portraits. John takes a new one each day. He started on Jan. 1.
The site is the first time we worked to add sharing options within a special project. You can subscribe to receive an email each time a new portrait is posted. You can also share that day's portrait by Facebook or Twitter.
I like how John put it in his explanation of the series: "They are people with plenty to say or just enough time for a picture. Through these portraits I'm getting to know the city."
I hope you get caught up into the series like I have. John finds some pretty remarkable people.
