A reader was kind enough to pass along a very helpful tip about sunburns.

"A good thing to use for sunburns is men's foam shaving cream," Miss Loretta told me via email. "It really draws the burn out and helps heal."

She used to teach first aid along with boating safety when she was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. During her 16-1/2 years she was a member, Miss Loretta attained the status of commander and trained to assist on a Coast Guard boat in time of an emergency. Really cool lady!

Peace, love and shaving cream ... XOXO
