What’s better than reading Yelp reviews, frantically trying to find just the right place to eat?
Having them read to you... dramatically... by real actors.
“The Good Wife’s” Chris Kipiniak starts off a bit befuddled in his recitation of a 1-star Yelp by patron Dan B. on the popular restaurant review site. Apparently, Dan B. wasn’t too satisfied by the manager’s rushed response to his compliment of the restaurant's broiled crabcakes. It seemed like he was in a rush, Dan B. wrote.
“I don’t think I’m going to eat there anymore (emotional pause) because if the manager isn’t nice, then what does that say about the business you’re running and the people in it," concludes a nearly tearful Kipiniak, in his rendition, totally putting into view how truly whiny some Yelp users come across.
Now, now, many laments are truly valid and helpful (thank you), but others? Um..
With actors (Kipiniak and "Law & Order: SVU's" Therese Plummer) performing these reviews against a black backdrop and with the most apropos music, the elation, sarcasm and acerbic sentiment brought across in the online evaluations comes through perfectly and humorously in person.
You can find them on YouTube, and so far there are only two. Let there be more, please!
