The Humane Society has a lot of animals on hand that need a good home. So today, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., you have the chance to adopt one for free.

About half the pets at the adoption center, 6232 E. 60th St., will have their adoption fees waived today. The regular application process still applies.

All of the Humane Society's pets are spayed/neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations. They also come with 30 days of free pet insurance.
