Happy VD. (Hey, I used "happy," don't make me spell it out or use an exclamation point. At least not 'til my prescription's filled.)
As I sit here, digesting a LOVELY salad from lunch, I can't help but think, "Hmm ... It sure would be nice to make out with a pastry cart ..." But I try to think of other things, like deadlines and unemployment, which usually usher me right along to busy-ville.
However, in today's moments of weakness, I thought about a few vittles (i.e., vituals, for you high-fallutin' folks) that I'd love to have again. Right now, specifically. And just in case you haven't had them, I wanted to share my three current favorite foods:
1. The Sick Donkey sushi roll at Tsunami. Oh. My. Lanta. Have y'all had this? I checked the "hook-up roll" (like the chef's choice) on the sushi sheet (say that three times fast -- up the risk factor, do it at work). One of the best rolls I've had in a couple years.
2. Shrimp Salad at Cancun. One of my favorite salads in the world -- shrimp, cucumber, tomatoes, cilantro, onions, lime juice and spices. Besides being kick-ya-in-the-pants delicioso, it's uber-healthy. Put that in your pinata and beat it. (Sorry, I was trying to do a Spanish version of "pipe and smoke it," but I can't conjugate "fumar.")
3. Dark Chocolate M&Ms. Loaded with anti-oxidants that melt in your mouth, not in your hands. I can practically feel the free radicals being jailed.
Peace, love and pinatas ... xoxo
