I saw the Tweets, the blurbs and the headlines on all the entertainment mags today, but I completely ignored them.

For one, I'm sooo over Brangelina engagement rumors. And furthermore, I'm pretty much over them as a couple. I respect them as actors individually (well Brad more than Angie), but I've never been a swooning fan of the couple as celebrities.

But this rumor, it seems is for real.

Pitt's manager, confirmed the news to Lifetime Live, reports USA Today.

"Yes, it's confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy," Cynthia Pett-Dante said to Lifeline Live, USA Today's entertainment website. "There's no date set at this time. Brad designed the ring."

The couple's official jeweler (yes, every power couple has one these days, didn't you know?) Robert Procop fueled the speculation when his people told the Hollywood Reporter that he designed the ring, "in collaboration with Brad Pitt."

Apparently, it was Angie who outed this revelation, when she was spotted a few days ago wearing a big ring on her engagement finger the other day at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries.

My point? There is no point...just spreading frivolous Friday "breaking" news.

Does this make you want to watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith this weekend?
