With every new trailer that Batman: Arkham Origins releases it makes us want the game that much sooner. Let’s take a look at what the upcoming title has been offering up recently.
Nowhere to Run TrailerThe latest trailer just released revealed the next assassin Batman must take on Christmas Eve; the pyromaniac Firefly. Not only do we get to see the growing roster of assassins Batman must take on, but we also see some incredible fight scenes and set pieces that show Batman indeed has a long grueling night ahead of him. We also get a good shot of the Batcave and even Alfred Pennyworth in the flesh giving a scolding to the young Dark Knight.
Online Multiplayer TrailerThis was perhaps the biggest surprise for the title thus far. Online multiplayer coming to an Arkham game sounded very out of place. But the explanation of it sounds very promising. Multiplayer matches will be comprised of three teams in what the game is calling “Invisible Predator Online”. Two teams of three will be thugs from Joker’s and Bane’s respective gangs as they battle each other to control certain points on a map. After awhile both teams can summon their leaders to take part in the action.
The very interesting aspect of it all is that one team will be of the Dynamic Duo, Batman and Robin, themselves. It will be their job to stalk the gangs from the shadows and dwindle down their numbers using stealth takedowns.
Batman: Arkham Origins is shaping up to be a great addition to the Arkham series. If you are worried about Rocksteady not being in the developer seat this time around, it seems Warner Bros. Games Montreal has it covered.
Arkham Origins arrives October 25 on PS3, 360, Wii-U and PC.
