Owasso graduate Dylan Bundy picked up another award on Tuesday when he was announced as an MiLBY winner in MiLB.com's fan voting as the minors' starting pitcher of the year.

Another reminder of what a great year it was for watching prospects at Tulsa's ONEOK Field came Tuesday when outfielder Wil Myers was named the Spink Award winner of the Topps/Minor League Player of the Year. Myers led the minors with 109 RBIs between Kansas City Royals affilliates Northwest Arkansas and Omaha. He was second in the minors with 37 homers.
Six of those homers came in six games against the Tulsa Drillers. He was promoted to Omaha while playing in a series in Tulsa in May. Other Royals prospects to win the award are Johnny Damon (1995) and Alex Gordon (2006).
Throughout the playoffs, there was another reminder of the exciting season at ONEOK Field whenever Trevor Rosenthal took the mound for the St. Louis Cardinals and blew away opponents with his 100-mph fastball. Rosenthal pitched for Springfield in the Texas League....
Former Booker T. Washington outfielder Mike Wilson has elected to become a minor league free agent after 12 years in the Seattle Mariners organization. Wilson, 29, batted .239 with 12 homers and 37 RBIs for Triple-A Tacoma this year. He is 1-for-16 in seven games this month playing winter ball in Venezuela. Wilson made it to the majors for eight games in 2011.
