The New York Mets have signed former Booker T. Washington outfielder Mike Wilson to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Wilson, 29, will be in the Pacific Coast League for the fifth consecutive season after spending the past four with Tacoma.
Wilson played eight games in the majors with Seattle in 2011. Before becoming a free agent last fall, he had been in the Mariners organization since being a second-round draft choice in 2001. Last year, Wilson battled injuries and batted only .239 with 12 homers and 37 RBIs for Tacoma...
Former Tulsa Drillers and Oral Roberts infielder Doug Bernier signed a minor league contract with Minnesota and was assigned to Triple-A Rochester of the International League.
Bernier, 32, batted .201 in 58 games for Scranton-Wilkes Barre of the IL last year. Bernier appeared in two major league games for Colorado in 2008.
