It's Bedlam Baseball at the major league level on Wednesday night in San Diego.

Washington Nationals pitcher Ryan Mattheus, who pitched for the Tulsa Drillers from 2007-09, was placed on the disabled list ...
Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki is rejoining the Tulsa Drillers for the Texas League playoffs that start with the North Division finals opener against the Springfield Cardinals at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday at ONEOK Field.
Tulowitzki, coming back from groin surgery, started his rehab stint with three games for Tulsa and then played four for Triple-A Colorado Springs. With Colorado Springs' season completed, Tulowitzki is back in Tulsa.
Tulowitzki is a combined 7-for-25 with two homers and four RBIs on this rehab stint. He is scheduled to play five innings Wednesday, seven innings on Thursday and be used as a pinch-hitter on Friday.
From a Drillers standpoint, this balances the scales for what happened in 2006. Tulowitzki spent all of that season with Tulsa until Aug. 30 when he was called up by Colorado for his major league debut just a few days before the TL playoffs started, even though the Rockies were not in playoff contention.
Colorado promoted Jonathan Herrera to the Drillers from Single-A to replace Tulowitzki, but that didn't quite fill the void left by Tulowitzki's departure as Tulsa lost in four games to Wichita in the division finals.
Although Tulowitzki missed out on postseason action in 2006, he made it to the World Series with the Rockies in 2007...
Also rejoining Tulsa for the playoffs is reliever Coty Woods, who has a combined 27 saves for the Drillers and Colorado Springs this season. He replaces Brett Jacobson, who was taken off the roster...
Among Tuesday's major league callups with local connections or who were former Drillers were pitcher Justin Hampson (Drillers) by the Mets, pitcher Jim Miller (Drillers) by Oakland, pitcher Dallas Keuchel (Bishop Kelley) by Houston, and outfielder Corey Brown (OSU) by Washington. All have been in the majors previously this season.
Keuchel made one start for Triple-A Oklahoma City after his demotion last week and pitched three perfect innings Monday. Keuchel was 6-4 with a 3.90 ERA at Oklahoma City and is 1-7 with a 5.54 ERA for Houston.
Also called up was a Texas League player, catcher Ali Solis, by San Diego from San Antonio.
And the St. Louis Cardinals made some noteworthy callups from Triple-A Memphis as hot pitching prospect Shelby Miller makes it to the majors for the first time. Also returning to St. Louis is shortstop Ryan Jackson and speedy outfielder Adron Chambers, who was on the Cardinals' postseason roster last year...
Owasso's Dylan Bundy will start on the mound for the Bowie Baysox in their Eastern League playoff opener against Akron on Wednesday night.
